my chosen one with whom I am pleased.” (Isaiah 42:1)

Reflection

What is Holy Week?

Holy Week affirms obedience to the Father.

Holy Week fulfills God’s promise of salvation.

Holy Week models the perfect sacrifice of service.

Holy Week unites our human suffering with the divine.

Holy Week gathers the lost and the scattered sheep.

Holy Week celebrates victory over sin and death.

Holy Week is Jesus, and in him, Holy Week is us.

Today’s Intention

O God, may we too be pleasing to you this Holy Week and always.

Peace and Goodness

Palm Sunday

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.” ~ Luke 19:38

On this Palm Sunday, I humbly pray to you Lord Jesus Christ to come in into my life as you enter Jerusalem, as our king and messiah. May my body be a worthy vessel on which you ride triumphantly; May my sacrifices serve as palms that cover the path that leads to increase in faith, hope, and charity; May I be worthy of my cross and humbly carry it as a sacrifice of love proclaiming your crucifixion.

You are the most high priest “who seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle that the Lord, not man, set up” who offered one sacrifice for our redemption, grant me forgiveness for my sins and evildoing.
