“The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.” ~ John 14:26
This is the great comfort we received from our Lord Christ: He is always present through the Holy Spirit. Fortunately, unlike us, He does not have to be physically present to impart His teachings and to grant us His mercy.
God blessed us with the grace of the Holy Spirit so we are never despondent and always in the light. It is a gift we received through the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. Yet, like any gift we receive, we must use it to enjoy it. In today’s scriptures, Jesus tells us how to enjoy His gift to us: “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.” (John 14:23)
May the Holy Spirit be with you always.
